The story starts with an email to Barton AC from Andy Hamill, the Deputy Chief Executive of Greater Manchester Federation of Clubs for Young People. He mentioned the possible availability of gym equipment at the former Police Training College at Bruche Warrington. Tep Landscape surveyors were looking for a voluntary body who'd make good use of the equipment. On visiting the site, Barton AC agreed to take all the equipment enabling the creation of a new facility at their gym. Vice Chairman Malcolm Moncrieff organized moving the equipment from Warrington and installaton into the gym at Barton AC. Many thanks to the 14 members of Barton who turned up to
give their time and muscle on the day. Click here to see pictures of the move. Also thanks to Andy Hamill GMFCYP, Beverly Neal TEP Landscape Surveyors, Lindsey Cunniff TEP Landscape Surveyors and Mark Simmons Barton AC. |
